Common symptoms in cardiology
Many patients come to us when there is no clear medical diagnosis, and we are able to provide structured support
Heart rhythm and palpitations
If you experience palpitations, a racing heart or an irregular pulse, we will investigate possible triggers, the progression of the symptoms and the appropriate diagnostic tests to ensure a clear diagnosis.
Chest tightness, feeling of pressure, cardiovascular strain
If symptoms occur during physical activity or at rest, we carry out a systematic assessment to determine what conditions should be ruled out and what the next appropriate medical steps are.
Loss of air pressure and loss of power
If you find yourself getting out of breath more easily, feel less resilient, or simply feel that something is ‘not quite right’, we’ll investigate the causes thoroughly and explain the results in a way that’s easy to understand.
Dizziness, weakness, brief blackouts
If circulatory problems occur repeatedly, we take a step-by-step approach to assess whether the heart and circulatory system are involved.
Check-ups for known medical conditions
If you have already been diagnosed or need to adjust your medication, we will support you with regular check-ups and a clear plan.
Blood pressure and circulation
If your test results fluctuate significantly, remain consistently high or are accompanied by symptoms, we will investigate the causes and recommend appropriate tests, and discuss the next steps.

Frequently Asked Questions
How soon can I get an appointment?
We do our best to arrange appointments at short notice. Once we have received your enquiry, we will get back to you promptly with some suggestions or a brief follow-up if we need further information.
Do I need a referral?
Whether a referral is required depends on your insurance. Private patients do not usually need a referral. If you are covered by the National Health Service, please bring a referral from your GP. If further diagnostic tests or treatment are recommended, we will coordinate the next steps for you.
What should I bring with me?
It is helpful to bring along previous medical records, doctors’ letters, a list of medications with dosages, and relevant laboratory results. If you have blood pressure readings, please feel free to bring along your records or measurements.
What tests are available?
Depending on the specific requirements, e.g. resting ECG, stress ECG, Holter monitoring, 24-hour blood pressure monitoring, ultrasound, as well as blood tests and laboratory tests.
How soon will I get the results?
You’ll usually get an initial assessment straight away during your appointment. If lab results or other assessments are required, we’ll get in touch as soon as everything is ready and discuss the next steps.
What if it is an emergency?
If you are experiencing acute symptoms, please contact us and we will provide a quick initial assessment. If you are unable to visit the surgery, care can be provided via the private medical emergency service.
Do you offer home visits?
Yes, via the private medical emergency service in the Rhine-Main area. We’ll briefly discuss the issue over the phone and give you some initial advice on what to do until we arrive.
What should you do if you experience life-threatening symptoms?
If you experience severe chest pain, serious breathing difficulties, signs of paralysis, loss of consciousness or a sudden, severe deterioration in your condition, please call 112 immediately.
